222Drive is headed up by Founder & Editor‑in‑Chief Alexander Payne — a motorsport‑obsessed content creator who’s spent years behind the wheel, behind the camera, and behind the scenes helping drivers become safer, smarter, and more confident on the road.
Who We Are
Founded by Alex Payne — also known as “Paynos” — 222Drive brings together years of driving, filming, racing, and community‑building experience. Alexander’s passion for cars began at age 8, driving a go‑kart at the famous Rye House Kart Track, and has grown ever since.
Through the Paynos Automotive YouTube channel, Alex discovered a love for teaching and simplifying driving concepts. Over the years he has earned his Motorsport UK racing licence, driven race cars, and produced films across the automotive world.
222Drive is the culmination of that journey. With insights from racing drivers, driving instructors, and the motoring press, we focus on real driving skills that last a lifetime. Not just what you need to pass a test.
